What signals does it look at?
Compliments, playful teasing, suggestive emojis, personal questions, how long and how fast their replies are, whether they mirror your energy, and above all whether they try to make plans. One signal alone means little. The verdict is based on how many show up together.
What are the possible verdicts?
Five: definitely flirting, probably flirting, unclear or mixed signals, just being friendly, and definitely not flirting. Each comes with the specific lines from the conversation that led there, so you can judge whether the read makes sense.
Why does it ask who they are?
Because the same message means different things from different people. A heart emoji from a close friend is normal; from a coworker it is a signal. Telling it whether they are a match, a friend, an ex or a colleague makes the verdict far more accurate.
